Section 3: The Secret Sauce
The secret sauce comes down to three things – three ingredients that changed EVERYTHING.
Ingredient #1: A Battle Plan
In business, your battle plan is your business model.
The biggest problem that aspiring entrepreneurs face isn’t a lack of opportunity—it’s too much opportunity!
Every day, we’re bombarded with the latest hot business trend or investment pitch.
After losing everything in 2008, I realized: picking the right battle plan is critical. And the truth is – most business models aren’t great.
I believe God wants the absolute best for His children. Not second best, not third best—the best.
And Jesus said, "Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do.”-- so I decided to BELIEVE BIG and ask for it all.
I asked for a business that is…
✅ Simple – No advanced expertise or licensing required.
✅ Virtual – Not tied to a physical location.
✅ High Earning Potential – No “barely getting by.”
✅ Scalable – No income ceiling.
✅ Runs Itself – No trading time for money.
✅ Timeless & Recession-Proof – Not a short-lived trend.
✅ Low Overhead & Startup Costs – No need to invest millions in overhead.
✅ Fast Return – No waiting months or years to make a profit.
✅ Helps People – Built on service, not exploitation.
✅ Fun – You should love what you do!
✅ Not an MLM – No monetizing friends & family.
✅ Replicable – Something I could teach others and pass down.
My prayer was to find the single best business model in America for Christians like myself who are called to the 320 Lifestyle.
And God answered my prayer.
Ingredient #2: An Army
Even with the best Battle Plan, if you go into war alone, you’re setting yourself up for failure.
Your army is your community.
They say "You are the product of the five people you spend the most time with."
According to research, it is exceedingly rare (like less than 1% rare) for an individual’s income to significantly exceed that of their closest friends.
Ingredient #3: A General
The Bible says, "Plans fail when there is no counsel."
It took an $8.4 million failure for me to understand just how true that is.
A General is a mentor—someone who’s already won the battle you’re trying to fight.
You can have the perfect battle-plan and a strong army… but without a proven general to follow, your plan isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.
Someone once said “If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the results you want, copy what they do, and you’ll achieve the same results.”
By nature, I have always been fiercely independent. “If you want it done right, do it yourself,” right?
That prideful mindset led me straight to bankruptcy.
If you had to cross a minefield, would you rather:
1️⃣ Walk through it alone?
2️⃣ Follow someone who knows where the mines are?
The Kingdom principle at play here is discipleship.
Most Christians understand the value of discipleship, but just don’t have a trusted Christian leader willing to guide them.
If you have someone in your life who is willing to mentor you, what are you doing still reading this? Go take them to dinner!

If you said ‘doubt,’ you’re wrong.
The opposite of faith is ‘certainty.’
Faith isn’t required when we can see the whole staircase. Faith is about diving into the unknown and embracing the adventure of following Jesus.
If you’re living a safe, comfortable life, you’re probably not following Jesus.
After I lost everything, a friend came up to me and said this: “Jeff, God cannot steer a parked car.”
It does not take faith to sit on the side of the road. It takes faith to start driving, even when you don’t know where you’re going to end up.
This world needs less Christians that are losing in life and more Christians willing to stand face to face with Goliath, and fight.
It’s time to stop spiritualizing our inaction.
The time is now. Today is the day.
